Re-Composing Real Life

"Life has its own logic - and that's why it's incomplete".
I am not trying to deconstruct but reconstruct reality.
My photographic works are both theatre and film and yet they are different...without beginning or end.
In those staged works, people and locations look realistic and the scenes appear with simple details and real body language, yet these are not frozen moments. Instead, they open up narrative questions.
When constructing the scenes, I direct my actors to do something concrete or hold something visible.
Actors cannot play unconsciously and cannot act without any target. Their actions and expressions are goal directed.
Ultimately my works are intended to evoke a psychological situation involving the beholder.
